Grumpy’s is named after the owner, Elijah’s, great grandfather. Everyone called him “Grumpy” even though he was the nicest guy around.

The giant buttermilk biscuits are based on his grandmother’s recipe and are the main focus. The menu has a growing selection of sweet and savory biscuit burgers, sandwiches, and sweets that bring a little bit of soul food flavor to Colorado.

“When I was growing up, I was very close with my grandparents. My most vivid memories from this time usually involved big family meals and my grandmother’s cooking. I later joined the Navy and served as a Hospital Corpsman for 14 years. No matter where I was living, I enjoyed cooking meals that reminded me of home.”
